Tea Cake Recipe - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
dash of salt
4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream together first 3 ingredients.
Work rest of ingredients in gradually.
Roll into small balls (if needed, add more flour to make \"rolling\" dough).
Dip glass in a sugar and cinnamon mixture; mash cookies flat.
Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 300\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Yield:
75 tea cakes.
