24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 head lettuce
    1 c. frozen English peas
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped green onions
    8 to 10 slices bacon, fried until crisp, drain and crumble
Preparation
    Layer the
    ingredients\tin
    order given (lettuce, peas, celery, green onions
    and
    bacon) in a shallow baking dish and then ice with mayonnaise or salad dressing, as you would ice a cake, being careful
    to seal all edges.
    Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
