Red Beans With Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) can red kidney beans
    1 (1 lb.) ham, cut into bite-size pieces
    4 cloves garlic
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    4 stalks celery
    bay leaf
    red pepper, hot sauce or 2 whole pepper pods to taste
    seasoned salt
    2 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Place all ingredients except the rice in a large kettle and simmer for 3 to 4 hours or until the gravy thickens.
    Remove ham bone, garlic cloves, bay leaf and pepper pods before serving over rice.
