Blueberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour
    2/3 c. milk
    2 c. blueberries
Preparation
    Mix well shortening and sugar, then add egg yolks; beat well. Add flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk.
    Beat the egg whites at room temperature until nice and stiff, then fold into batter.
    Pour 1/2 of batter into 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Pour cleaned, washed and dried blueberries over the batter, then pour rest of batter over berries.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
