Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 2/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    mixture of 2 tsp. cinnamon and 2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Blend shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Combine flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt in a sifter and sift into shortening mixture.
    Mix well.
    Shape into small balls, then roll in cinnamon and sugar.
    Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Yields 5 dozen.
