Biscuits Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 Tbsp. sugar, if desired
    1/2 cup shortening
    2/3 cup milk
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt, baking powder, cream of tartar and sugar. Cut in shortening. Add milk. Stir just till moistened. Roll 1/2 inch thick and cut into biscuits and bake on ungreased pan at 450\u00b0 for 10-12 minutes.
