Ingredients

2 lb. Southern style hash browns, thawed
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. milk
1/3 c. margarine
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
crackers or corn flakes
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 small onion
1 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. margarine
Preparation

Grease 12 x 18-inch pan and put thawed potatoes in; heat all the rest of the ingredients (except crackers or corn flakes and margarine).
Pour over potatoes (tastes best if you do this in the morning and let set in the fridge until cooking time).
Bake 1/2 hour at 350\u00b0.
Remove and crumble crackers or corn flakes on top, then drizzle melted margarine over top.
Bake 20 minutes more.
