Mrs. Audice'S Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. cocoa
2 c. plain flour
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. mashed Irish potatoes
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Cream sugar and butter; add eggs.
Mix flour, cocoa and spices together.
Add milk and dry ingredients alternately.
Add mashed potatoes and nuts.
May be baked in layers or a Bundt pan.
Seven minute icing is suggested.
For a layer cake, bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 35 minutes; for Bundt cake, bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Test with toothpick for doneness.
When toothpick comes out clean, cake is done.
