Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten slightly
3/4 c. evaporated milk
2 c. mashed sweet potatoes
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 unbaked pastry shell
Preparation

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs; mix well. Add milk, sweet potatoes, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt; mix well.
Pour into pie shell.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes longer or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool.
Store in refrigerator.
Yield:
6 to 8 servings.
