Stir-Fry Oriental Chicken And Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 chicken breasts
1/4 c. oil
1 small onion, chopped
2 c. celery, sliced
1 (7 oz.) can chicken broth
1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 1 c. water
1/3 c soy sauce
1 tsp. ginger
garlic powder to taste
1 (7 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
Preparation

Cut chicken breasts into very thin strips; brown in hot oil. As chicken begins to turn white, add chopped onion.
When onion is clear, add celery and stir-fry quickly.
Add broth, soy sauce, ginger and garlic.
Cook 5 more minutes.
Add water chestnuts and cook only until they are heated through.
Add cornstarch and water mixture and continue cooking until gravy thickens.
Serve over cooked rice.
May be topped with slivered toasted almonds.
