Ambrosia Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Pet Ritz pie shells, precooked
1 regular can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
6 Tbsp. plain flour
3 sliced bananas
1 c. pecans
1 c. coconut, shredded
1/3 c. maraschino cherries
1 (9 oz.) container Cool Whip
Preparation

Mix together pineapple, sugar and plain flour in a heavy saucepan on medium heat and cook until thickened.
Stir constantly.
Pour into 2 pie shells, precooked, and place sliced bananas evenly over mixture.
Layer pecans evenly over bananas. Layer sliced cherries over pecans.
Cover with coconut (optional). Cover with Cool Whip.
Refrigerate both pies 2 hours before serving.
Will keep in refrigerator for 4 to 5 days.
