Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    1 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
    1 c. cream-style corn
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. chopped green chilies (more if you like)
    1/4 c. oleo
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients and mix well.
    Beat egg and milk together; add corn.
    Saute onion and chilies in oleo until tender. Add milk mixture, onion mixture and cheese to dry ingredients. Stir until just mixed; pour into greased 8-inch square pan.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
