Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. oats
    1 beaten egg
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Blend in oats and swiftly stir in milk and egg.
    Blend 1/3 cup brown sugar with 2 tablespoons soft butter. Pat into greased muffin pans. Arrange pecan halves in pan and pour mixture over. Fill 2/3 full.
    Bake 20 minutes at 425\u00b0.
