Cherry Cream Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. broken saltines (not crumbs)
    3/4 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
    3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 pkg. Dream Whip
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until frothy, then add cream of tartar and sugar and beat until stiff.
    Add vanilla.
    Fold in saltines and nuts.
    Butter oblong dish or pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until tan in color, then cool.
    Refrigerate if necessary.
