Sweet-Sour Red Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. margarine
1 small onion, minced
4 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 medium head red cabbage, shredded (4 to 5 c.)
3 tart apples, sliced thinly
1/4 c. mild vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

In 3-quart saucepan, melt margarine over medium-low heat. Add onion and brown sugar.
Cook until a golden yellow.
Add remaining ingredients.
Cover.
Cook on high heat until steaming, then reduce to low heat for 25 to 30 minutes (sometimes takes longer).
Serves 4.
