Best Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 lb. ground pork
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. sage
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    chili sauce
Preparation
    Soak crumbs in milk; add remaining ingredients, except for chili sauce.
    Mix well.
    Pack into 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pan to shape.
    Invert on shallow baking pan.
    Score loaf diagonally with handle of wooden spoon.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 1 hour. Fill scored marks on top with chili sauce.
    Bake 15 minutes longer.
