Homemade Caramel - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. canned cream (Pet milk)
    1 tsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Melt margarine in a quart saucepan.
    Add sugar and cream, then bring mixture to a boil.
    Reduce heat to medium-high.
    Add brown sugar and vanilla.
    Boil, stirring constantly, for about 10 to 15 minutes, until mixture well thickens on spoon.
    Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cool and serve.
