Hommos Bi Tahini - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) jar tahini (sesame seed paste)
6 cloves garlic
3 tsp. salt or to taste
3/4 c. fresh lime juice
1/2 c. cold water
2 (28 oz.) cans garbanzo beans (chickpeas), reserve liquid
2 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 Tbsp. olive oil
3 to 4 Tbsp. fresh cilantro leaves
Preparation

Add finely minced garlic and salt to tahini.
Mix in lime juice until completely absorbed.
Add water and mix.
Set aside. Blend garbanzo beans in a blender or food processor until they are smooth.
Add garbanzos to tahini mixture, then the cayenne.
Add some of the reserved bean juice if consistency is too thick.
Add more salt or cayenne if necessary and put in a wide shallow bowl. Spread with olive oil and sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
Serve with warm pita bread.
