Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cucumbers
    4 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    2 medium onions, sliced
    1/3 tsp. turmeric
    4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Bring all ingredients to a boil, except cucumbers.
    Let cool, then pour over cucumbers that have been placed into a gallon jar. Put in refrigerator; let set about 2 weeks before eating.
