Jewish Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. Wesson oil
    1/3 c. orange juice
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 medium apples, sliced
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and 1 1/2 cups sugar together (save 1/2 cup sugar).
    Make indentation in center.
    Add orange juice, vanilla, eggs and oil.
    Mix until smooth.
    Grease and flour 9 to 10-inch tube pan.
    Put in layer of batter, layer apples, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon (in each layer, divided 3 times), ending with apples on top, and sugar on top of apples.
    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
