1 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. skim milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
3 Tbsp. chopped almonds
3/4 c. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 3/4 c. hot water
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Blend well the flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar and cocoa. Add milk, vanilla and oil; mix until smooth. Add nuts. Spread evenly in a greased 8-inch square cake pan. Mix brown sugar and cocoa; sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over entire batter. Bake 40 to 45 minutes. Makes 12 servings.
