Sweet Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 yeast cakes
    1/2 c. very warm water
    1 egg
    2 tsp. salt
    8 c. flour
Preparation
    Scald the 2 cups of milk; pour over shortening and sugar in a bowl.
    Stir until shortening is melted, then take the 1/2 cup warm water; put yeast into the warm water in the cup.
    Stir, then add to mixture in the bowl.
    Then add egg (well beaten), then add flour and salt.
    Mix well; turn out on counter and knead 5 to 8 times. Put mixture back into bowl; let rise to double its size, then punch down and make into rolls or loaves of bread.
    Cover; let rise for 1 to 2 hours, then bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
