Smackeroons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. cornflakes
    1 c. flaked coconut
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Beat egg whites and salt until stiff.
    Gradually beat in sugar.
    Add vanilla, then stir in remaining ingredients.
    Drop by tablespoons onto well-greased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
    Remove from cookie sheets at once.
    Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
