Fern Weinhold'S Salad Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 beaten egg
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Fry chopped bacon slowly, until brown.
    Mix sugar with salt and cornstarch.
    Add beaten egg, vinegar and water.
    Add to bacon and fat.
    Cook to desired thickness.
    Chop a small onion in dressing before placing on greens.
    Good on leaf lettuce.
