Apple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. chopped pecans
2 apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/16ths
1 1/3 c. sugar
6 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. molasses
2 eggs (room temperature)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 Tbsp. applesauce
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ginger
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 2/3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. buttermilk (room temperature)
Preparation

Melt the 6 tablespoons butter over low heat in a cake pan. Stir in the 1/2 cup brown sugar until smooth.
Remove from heat and sprinkle the nuts evenly into the pan.
Place apples in the pan in a circular pattern, covering bottom of the pan completely. Set aside.
