Picnic Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 (1 1/2 lb.) fryers, disjointed
    1 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
    1 1/2 tsp. paprika
    shortening and butter
Preparation
    Mix buttermilk and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in large, shallow dish; add chicken.
    Cover and marinate for 1 hour, turning occasionally. Combine flour, salt, remaining pepper, monosodium glutamate and paprika.
    Coat chicken with flour mixture.
    Place on waxed paper; let stand for 30 minutes.
