Quick Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. bread flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. shortening
    1 whole egg plus 1 egg yolk
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Work in shortening as for biscuits.
    Then add egg and egg yolk (well beaten), milk and chopped nuts.
    Beat thoroughly and turn into a buttered bread pan.
    Let stand, then bake at 400\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
