Sour Cream Cake - cooking recipe

3 c. sugar
1 c. butter
6 eggs, separated
3 c. sifted cake flour
1/4 tsp. soda
1 c. sour cream (1/2 pt.)
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift soda and flour together.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.
Add egg yolks one at a time and add vanilla.
Add flour mixture alternately with the sour cream, using low speed on mixer.
Fold in egg whites carefully.
Pour into pan, greased and floured.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
