Molasses Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 unbeaten egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and shortening.
    Add the egg; beat well.
    Stir in the molasses; mix well.
    Add the remaining ingredients.
    Shape into balls; roll in sugar.
    Put on cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake for 12 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven (or until golden brown).
