Gingerbread Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. half and half
    1 egg yolk
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients.
    Cook and stir until thickened. Add nutmeg and vanilla.
    Spoon over gingerbread just before serving.
