Angel Flake Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 Tbsp. warm water
    2 c. buttermilk
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    5 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    3/4 c. shortening
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water. Mix yeast mixture with buttermilk, sugar and salt. Set aside. Sift flour, baking powder and soda together. Cut in shortening. Add liquid mixture. Mix lightly. Knead, roll, cut and bake. Dough may be refrigerated 4 to 5 days and used as needed. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Can also be cut into biscuits and frozen on a cookie sheet until firm and then transferred to a freezer bag. Makes about 50 biscuits.
