Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 2/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. apples, pared and chopped
2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 c. walnuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Beat together eggs, sugars and vanilla.
Stir in dry ingredients, hand mixing just to combine.
Fold in apples and nuts.
Spread batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Mixture will be stiff and sticky; push into corners.
Bake for 35 minutes. Remove from pan to wire rack to cool.
Serve with ice cream, if desired.
