Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ginger
1 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
2 eggs
1 c. Stein's syrup
Preparation

Cream shortening; add sugar, and eggs, and syrup. Sift all dry ingredients together. Add alternately with milk. Chill until stiff enough to roll on floured board. Cut with small glass or lid. Bake at 400\u00b0 until golden brown. Yields 5 dozen.
