German Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    4 whole eggs
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    2 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    10 oz. jar maraschino cherries (no liquid)
Preparation
    Cream butter with sugar; add eggs.
    Add rest of ingredients. Fold in nuts and cherries.
    Bake in well-greased tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Very good.
