Strawberry Braid - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. lukewarm milk, scalded and then cooled
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 (12 oz.) jar strawberry jam
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    2 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large bowl.
    Stir in granulated sugar, 1/2 cup milk, the butter, eggs, salt, whole wheat flour and 1 cup of all-purpose flour.
    Beat until smooth. Stir in enough of the remaining flour to make dough easy to handle.
