Barbecued Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. ribs
    3 c. water, divided
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce (or more to taste)
Preparation
    Preheat grill.
    Place ribs and 2 cups water in large soup pot. Cover and bring to a boil over high heat.
    Reduce heat to low and simmer 15 to 30 minutes.
