Trout With Almonds(From Switzerland) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 trout
    salt, lemon juice, flour, shortening
    1 glass red wine
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    3 1/2 oz. slivered almonds
Preparation
    Prepare trout.
    Sprinkle with salt and lemon juice.
    Let rest for a few minutes, then carefully pat dry.
    Dredge fish with flour.
    Brown in hot skillet until golden on all sides.
    Arrange on a preheated platter.
    Add wine to drippings and bring to boiling.
    Stir in cornstarch mixed with a little wine or water. Season to taste and cook until thickened and smooth.
    Lightly brown almonds in a small amount of butter.
    Sprinkle over trout and pour the same over all.
    Serve with lemon slices and lettuce salad.
    Makes 4 servings.
