Ostakaka - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. whole milk (raw milk if possible)
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1 rennet tablet
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cream
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation

Heat milk until it is lukewarm.
Crush rennet tablet and beat eggs slightly.
Add flour, eggs and rennet to lukewarm milk.
Stir well and let stand one hour.
Do not touch during this time.
After cheese has set, drain off the whey from the curd.
(Note:
Take 1/2 or more whey.)
Cut up cheese just enough to break it up into small pieces.
Put cheese in a greased casserole and bake for 45 minutes at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0.
Then pour the cream, sugar and almond flavoring over it and bake 45 minutes more.
