Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. margarine
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. presifted flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
dash of salt
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Grease and flour angel food pan.
Mix margarine, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, and continue to beat after each addition.
This mixture will become very fluffy.
Add dry ingredients and milk alternately until all is used, making the dry ingredients last. Add vanilla and continue to beat for at least 10 minutes.
Turn batter into pan and bake in oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Cool on wire rack.
May frost, if desired.
Buttercream icing is a great icing for this cake.
Stores well.
Serves 20.
