Batter Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/8 tsp. ground ginger
    3 Tbsp. sugar, divided
    13 oz. evaporated milk
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 tsp. salt
    4 to 4 1/2 c. unsifted flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Stir in ginger and 1 tablespoon sugar; let stand in warm place for 15 minutes, or until bubbly. Stir in remaining ingredients, except flour.
    Add flour, beating with electric mixer, 1 cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Stir in last cup by hand.
