German Green Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. green beans, drained
4 strips bacon
1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. vinegar
2 Tbsp. chopped onion
1/4 tsp. dill seed
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. cooked potatoes, diced small
Preparation

Reserve liquid from beans.
Cook bacon, return 2 tablespoons of fat to skillet; blend in flour and sugar.
Add vinegar and 1 cup bean liquid.
Add water,
if necessary, to make 1 cup.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens.
Add onion, dill, salt and pepper.
Combine beans and potatoes in pan.
Add sauce and heat just until hot.
Top with crumbled bacon.
