Banana Pudding Cream Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. milk or half and half
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Microwave milk on High for 3 to 5 minutes or to boiling.
    Mix sugar, cornstarch and egg together.
    Add about 1/2 cup of hot milk, stirring to blend.
    Add to remaining milk and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on 70% power or until thickened.
    Add butter, vanilla and salt.
    Cool.
