Surprise Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
6 Tbsp butter, melted
3/4 cup pinto beans, mashed
3/4 tsp vanilla
pecan halves (optional)
unbaked pie crust
Preparation

Prepare beans in usual manner with regular seasonings and bacon. (Or use left-overs).
Mash very well and measure exactly.
Mix with sugar, eggs, butter, and vanilla until well blended.
Pour into pie crust and bake at 400\u00b0 until firm.
Garnish with pecans, if desired.
Tastes like a pecan pie.
