Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix, cooked as directed
    1 large and 1 small box vanilla instant pudding, prepared according to directions
    2 cans cherry or strawberry pie filling
    1 can pineapple (crushed)
    1 large container Cool Whip
    1 c. nuts
    1 pkg. coconut (if desired)
Preparation
    Crumble half of cake into bottom of bowl and arrange layers as follows:
    half of pudding mix, 1 can cherry pie filling, 1/2 can pineapple, 1/2 container Cool Whip and 1/2 cup nuts.
    Follow with remainder of cake and other ingredients.
