Peppermint Pinwheels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. or 2 sticks soft butter
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. red or green food coloring
1 tsp. peppermint extract
3 c. flour
Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except food coloring.
Divide the dough evenly into halves; add food coloring to one half of dough, refrigerate for one hour.
Take the plain dough and roll on a lightly floured surface into a 16 by 9 inch rectangle.\tDo the same with the color dough; then lay it over the plain dough.
Roll them and wrap tightly in wax paper. Refrigerate at least 4 hours.
When finished heat oven to 400\u00b0; slice about 1/4 inch thick and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
