Baked Lentils And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. lentils, rinsed
    2 c. water
    1 whole bay leaf
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. marjoram
    1/8 tsp. sage
    1/8 tsp. thyme
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    2 large carrots, sliced 1/8 inch thick
    1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped parsley
    3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Combine lentils, water, spices, onion, garlic and tomatoes in a shallow 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Cover tightly and bake 30 minutes at 375\u00b0.
