Oven Fried Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 medium okra pods
    1 egg
    1 c. pkg. corn flake crumbs
    1 Tbsp. dried onion soup mix
    1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
    dash of salt and pepper to taste
    butter or margarine
Preparation
    Wash okra, leaving tops on.
    Parboil 2 minutes in salted water and drain well.
    Slice tops off okra pods and slit lengthwise. Dip in egg (beaten with one tablespoon of water).
    Combine remaining dry ingredients.
    Dip okra in corn flake mixture and place in shallow buttered baking dish.
    Dot with butter.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until crisp.
