Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. oats
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oats. Let stand 20 minutes. Beat butter until creamy. Add sugars and beat. Add eggs. Add oats. Sift rest and add. Pour into greased pan. Bake 50-55 minutes at 350\u00b0. Combine 1/4 c. melted butter, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 3 Tbsp. evaporated milk, 1/3 c. nuts, 3/4 c.
    coconut. Spread over cake, put under broiler for 2 or 3 minutes. Watch! * I use Grape Nuts instead of coconut. This works very well. May be used as coffee cake for brunch or as a dessert with whipped cream or ice cream.
