Ingredients

2 cans sliced beets, drained
1 sliced onion
1 c. vinegar
1 c. sugar
pinch of salt
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation

Bring to a boil the vinegar, sugar, salt, bay leaf and celery seed.
Add beets and onion.
Bring it back to a boil; remove from heat.
Let stand for 1 hour, then refrigerate in covered glass jar or plastic container.
