Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk, heated to scalding
    4 c. coarse bread crumbs
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 slightly beaten eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. seeded raisins
    1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
Preparation
    Pour milk over the bread crumbs; cool.
    Add the remaining ingredients.
    Pour into a 1 1/2-quart buttered casserole pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
    Serve warm.
    Yields 6 servings.
